2026 Coach & Team Coordinator Onboarding

For the WMLL 2026 baseball and softball season all coaches and team coordinators are required to go through two steps for onboarding. Step 1 is to complete an online training for abuse awareness. Step 2 is to complete a background check once it is sent to you.

1) Online Training - Complete the Little League University online video training for Abuse Awareness that is a requirement under Little League International. Click the link to the right. Follow the steps at the bottom of this page once you are on the Little League University site.

2) Complete a background check. No action on your part initially. WMLL admin will send out background checks. These are administered through JDP Palatine. You may not see it right away as WMLL does these background checks in batches.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO - ABUSE AWARENESS TRAINING

All volunteers who need to go through background check process now also need to go through an online training for Abuse Awareness. Here is what you need to do to complete this training.

Visit the Little League University Website at this link (click here)
If you already have an online account Little League University, you can sign in on this page.
If you do not have an online account at Little League University, you will need to create an account in order to complete the training.
Once you are signed in and on the Courses Website you can scroll down the list of courses until you find the one titled "Abuse Awareness for Adults"
The training is all through online video and ends with a 10-question quiz.
Once you have successfully completed the training you will get an email which will have a link to your certificate of completion.
