Registration Process, Deadlines & Refunds

REGISTRATION DEADLINES 2024

The normal open registration period for some leagues has ended and they are in late registration as of March 1st.  Exception: Senior Baseball and Junior/Senior Softball start later so they are still in regular open period.

Late Registrations: Starting on Friday March 1st (April 7th for Senior BB & Jr/Sr SB), players can be placed on a team only if space is available (each league has a separate maximum capacity) and will be charged a $20 late fee.

Important! Late registrations delay & disrupt the formation of leagues & teams, the creation & release of schedules, & uniform orders.  It is very important to register as soon as possible.

Waitlist: While WMLL would like to accommodate everyone, late registrants can be placed on a team only if space is available. Once a league is full, late registrants may opt to be placed on a waiting list.  The same registration link will be used for signing up for the waiting list.  It is no cost and the system will automatically know if the league you are registering for is full and will only give an option to register on the waitlist.

PLEASE DO YOUR CHILD, YOURSELF & WMLL A FAVOR – REGISTER ON TIME!

As of 4/19/2024 the following leagues are only accepting waitlist registrations

  • Rookie Baseball (Little League Ages 7 & 8)
  • Major Baseball (Little League Ages 11 & 12)
  • Junior Baseball (Little League Ages 13 & 14)
  • Rookie Softball (Little League Ages 7 & 8)
  • Junior/Senior Softball (Little League Ages 13 thru 16)

REGISTRATION PROCESS

WMLL will use SportsEngine again for the 2024 season which includes a registration system.  Multiple players from the same family can be registered together at one time.  To do this, after you have filled out the registration for your first child there is a button at the bottom of the Review portion of the registration for registering another player.  Click that for each additional child you wish to register.  Be sure not to check-out and pay until all of your children are registered.

Scholarships: WMLL has a Player Scholarship program  for eligible families who need financial assistance.  For more information and how to apply for a scholarship please visit our website at this link, Click Here.

Buddies & Siblings: In the spring/summer season only Rookie League players (LL ages 7 & 8) can request to be “buddies” on the same team as ONE friend.  The registration system will automatically add an optional field for buddies but only if the player is in Rookie BB or SB.  For a match to be complete, both halves of the buddy pair must identify one another as their ONE buddy during registration.  Please coordinate in advance as needed. Siblings in the same league will be placed on the same team automatically unless a parent/guardian requests otherwise.  While WMLL will attempt to pair buddies that register BEFORE the late period, it is not guaranteed.

Coaches & Team Coordinators: If you are interested in helping your child’s team as a coach or team coordinator, it is VERY important to indicate your interest when registering.  Please also e-mail your interest to the appropriate league coordinator (see contact information at this page: Click Here).

Mandatory Service: To make the WMLL experience a great one for our players, while also keeping our registration fees affordable, WMLL requires families to satisfy a volunteer service requirement (6 credits per player / 12 credits maximum per family) each season or to opt out of their service commitment by paying a special fee when registering ($150 per player / $300 maximum per family). During registration, you must specify if you would like to perform this mandatory service or pay to opt out. Families for whom the service requirement and opt out fee would be a hardship that would prevent them from playing can apply for an exemption.

For more information about WMLL's Mandatory Service Program (aka Dibs) please visit this page: Click Here.

Waivers: During registration you will be required to read through & acknowledge four important waivers:
(1) Code of Conduct - Safety & Behavior Expectations (HERE)
(2) WMLL General Waiver & Acknowledgements (File link below)
(3) Media Release Form (File link below)
(4) Concussion Information & Waiver Acknowledged (HERE)

Payment: At the completion of the registration application, a review page and shopping cart will indicate the fees and total amount due.  Once fees are paid registration will be complete and you will receive an email receipt at the same time.  WMLL will also receive a notification of your registration

REFUND POLICY

Refunds, will be granted if requested by March 10 (April 8 for Rookie BB, Senior baseball & Jr/Sr softball).  No refunds will be granted after this date except for situations involving player injury, a family moving away from the area, or an interruption in the season.  In these cases, a partial refund will be provided if less than 75% of the scheduled season is offered.  The partial refund will be based on the total fee paid, less a $40 non-refundable administrative fee and a prorated charge based on the number of practices / games offered.
